The image on the left looks like a beautiful Cup and Handle set up. We get the (basically) cup "U" shape completed, and we expect that pull back. That's our entry point to go long, right? F@#$&. On the right, the pull back ended up being a downward Head and Shoulders. This is the moment when the market skeptics and 'told you so, it's rigged' negative people in your life try and convince you the markets are a scam. Yeah, they are manipulated, like anything in this world. But the market leaves trails. And follows patterns. And breaks them. This is where your stop loss and risk management come into play. This loss looks bad to them, but in reality, you gave up 1% of your account. This one small loss will look huge to them, and they will totally write off your 3 successes as a fluke. Statistically they sound like idiots. Stick to your plan. This is what we do. We enter all trades as trained and seasoned professionals. Money doesn't have emotions, and doesn't care about yours. We'll always have losses to learn from, but in this game, we learn from the wins as well. And stay humble. It's a lonely sport, but if you can make it into the small percentage that earns a living from it, maybe people and 'friends' are overrated.
